报告题目(一): Trefftz methods with cracklets and their relation to BEM and MFS

报告人:Carlos Alves (University of Lisbon, Portugal)

报告人简介:Prof. Carlos Alves received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Lisbon, and in France he got his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the École Polytechnique in 1995. He became professor in I.S.T. (the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Lisbon) in 1996. His current research interests include numerical analysis for meshless methods and the theory of inverse problems, with applications in different fields of engineering. He published 35 papers in international journals and has H-index of 14, with over one thousand non-self-citations. He published 2 books in Springer-Verlag as editor, and he is editor of the international journals: Applied Mathematics and Computation (from Elsevier) and Journal of Applied Mathematics (from Hindawi). In 2009 he won the first prize in Mathematics from the Technical University of Lisbon. He was head of the Department of Mathematics in 2005-06, and became a member of the ruling Faculty Council of I.S.T. in 2009-2012. He is now chair of the council of the Department of Mathematics.

 

报告题目(二):Method of fundamental solution and its applications in electrophysiological imaging of excitable organs

报告人: Yong Wang (Washington University in St. Louis, USA)

报告人简介:Dr. Yong Wang received his bachelor's degree in Education Reform Pilot Program from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1999. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Washington University in St. Louis in 2009. He is currently in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Department of Radiology, and Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, School of Medicine. He is the head of the Bioelectricity Imaging Laboratory. Dr. Wang Yong developed a three-dimensional non-invasive ECG imaging device during his Ph.D. and successfully applied it to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. A number of technical invention patents were bought out by Medtronic and used in the commercial application of this new ECG imaging device. During his postdoctoral period, Dr. Wang Yong engaged in research in the field of magnetic resonance imaging and first proposed a new diffusion imaging technique that can significantly improve the imaging specificity and accuracy of central nervous system lesions and immune responses. By combining electrophysiological and microstructural imaging, Dr. Wang Yong is currently studying the physiological and pathological changes of the uterus, placenta and cervix during pregnancy, the detection and treatment of brain tumors, and the early evaluation of senile dementia. Dr. Wang Yong received research funding from the National Institute of Health and various non-government funds as a Principal Investigator.

 

 

报告题目(三): An adaptive MFS for The Laplace Equation in 2D and 3D

报告人:Huiqing Zhu (University of Southern Mississippi, USA)

报告人简介:Dr. Zhu got his B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and M.Sc. in computational mechanics from Zhengzhou University, and he got his Ph.D in Mathematics from Wayne State University in USA. He worked as Assistant professor in Department of Mathematics, University of Southern Mississippi from 2009 to 2015. Currently, he works as Associate professor in  Department of Mathematics, University of Southern Mississippi. He has been invited by to give talks in Beijing University, Wayne State University, and other international conferences. He serves as reviewer in 13 international SCI journals.

 

报告题目(四):Von Neumann stable, implicit finite volume WENO schemes for hyperbolic conservation laws

报告人:Chieh-Sen Huang (National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan)

报告人简介:Prof. Huang got his B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and M.Sc. in Mathematics from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan, and he got his Ph.D in Mathematics from Purdue University in USA 1998. He worked as Lecturer in Yuan-Ze University from 1992 to 1993, Teaching Assistant in Purdue University from 1993 to 1998; Later he works as Assistant Professor from 1998 to 2001, then Associate from 2001 to 2007 in National Sun Yat-sen University. He became a professor in 2007, and he is now the Director of Data Science Research Center. He also has worked as Research Fellow The University of Texas at Austin. He has 34 publications with high citation. His interests are Algorithm development and numerical analysis of partial differential equations, High performance, parallel computing (MPI, Pthread, OpenMP, Cuda), scientific computing.

 

报告题目(五): 话说空客和制造过程中的数值仿真

报告人:文丕华 (Queen Marry, University of London, UK)

报告人简介:文丕华,1985年获国防科技大学工学博士学位。1992年获第三届中国青年科技奖。1993年从师D.P.Rooke教授和M.H.Aliabadi教授并获得博士学位。2001年加入空客公司担任现代数值技术工程师。2004年至今,就职于英国伦敦大学。主要从事军用和民用飞机的动态断裂和疲劳、高塑成形、加筋板壳和飞机构件修补数值模拟以及现代数值方法的开发和研究工作。主持和参与了A380机翼的蠕变成形数值模拟研究、A340机翼的失稳研究、切削加工反弹、裂纹的跟踪与定位以及鸟撞的数模与破坏等研究。 首次提出的“有限积分法”应用广泛,出版著作两部,发表一百八十余篇期刊论文。担任多种国际期刊的编委,多个国际会议的常年学术委员。2013年成功入选第九批中组部国家“千人计划”。
